A Message From Lisa Anderson
As most of you know, pancreatic cancer is not curable – YET. I lost my father and grandmother to this horrible disease. And as the GI Oncology Nurse Navigator I meet dozens of new patients and their families each month who are beginning this terrible journey as I did years ago. That is why I am taking part in the Pancreas Bowl for the National Pancreas Foundation as part of the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital team. Patients, family members, caregivers, and medical professionals across America come together to have fun and raise money to support the National Pancreas Foundation.
The National Pancreas Foundation provides hope for those suffering from pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer through funding cutting edge research, advocating for new and better therapies, and providing support and education for patients, caregivers, and health care professionals.
