I remember when my now husband first got diagnosed with pancreatitis. I remember being stuck at work as the only closing manager, telling the kids to close as quickly as they can and leaving a note apologizing for anything not done. Getting a diagnosis felt like a relief and a panic all at once-hours of googling and trying to figure out how to best care came next. It was hard knowing flare ups and attacks could come even if you did *everything* right. I’m proud to call myself his wife and see him spearheaded a local chapter to try and help others.
