Our journey started July 2017 with this horrible disease. 23 days, approximately 552 hours! Approximately 33,120 minutes my husband was in the hospital during that time. Waiting for answers! Waiting for test! Waiting to feel better! Waiting for the news he was going home. We are a family who has suffered the loss of a loved one to Pancreatic Cancer. We are also a family fighting the never-ending battle of Chronic Pancreatitis. For years we struggled finding medical staff that understood just how bad Pancreatitis can be. After searching on our own for doctors that cared enough to listen, we found some amazing specialists. No one should travel this road alone. Our hope is to spread awareness of these horrible illnesses, and let others know there are people that truly care. There are doctors that want to help. There are others that want a cure just as much as you do! Please join me in spreading awareness as we Color It Purple in July! I will be walking daily to track as many miles as possible.
