Hello friends. Thank you for visiting my fundraiser page. My name is Sai Bharath Oruganti, a budding medical professional and a postdoctoral research fellow working with the team of Gastrointestinal Cancers in the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore.
Upcoming Run: On October 14,2023 I will be running the hills of the Baltimore Marathon and raising money for the National Pancreas Foundation (NPF). The NPF’s mission is to provide hope for those suffering from pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer through funding cutting edge research, advocating for new and better therapies, and providing support and education for patients, caregivers, and health care professionals. I have seen first-hand how they fulfill this mission as I was selected to be a 2023 NPF Fellow at their annual Fellows Symposium.
The NPF is the only foundation in the world that deals with all forms of pancreas disease – did you know that patients with pancreatic cancer can get pancreatitis? Chronic pancreatitis can also lead to pancreatic cancer.
